Show Us Your Stuff - last minute entry!

So, in the nick of time, which seems to be a common thread lately, I have completed the Show Us Your Stuff March challenge!

The challenge for this month was to use this quote, and add something handmade of course!

And, my first thought was, lets turn this into a cut file! So I did, then I cut it out on water colour paper and coloured it with mist to create an ombre effect.

So this is the result:

I made the quote into a 6x4 PL style card which was a great size for making it stand out.

Love the water colour effect, using the right paper helps!

Here you can see my Charms Creations handmade piece and also some handmade flair from D-lish Scraps.

Love this photo of my mum and my girls. It was only a phone photo, but it is still very special.

So, that is my quick post for today and the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by,

Off the Rails Scrapbooking March Challenge

Back again! I have decided to have a go at the Off the Rails Scrapbooking challenge, which was using a mood board and sketch. So here it is:

Now first I have to say, the colour palette is so not me! I am so not a browns kind of girl. Also I realise that my colours are probably a tad warmer than compared to the originals. So keeping this in mind, I got my Tim Holtz head on and started!

All in all, I am fairly happy with the result. I used lots of stamping and inking and water colour crayons to create and colour the background. But I have to say I am in love with the metallic Distress Stains! I used the antiqued bronze one to colour my doily and it looks like it has been leafed in copper!

Of course I had to add a Charms Creations piece, and what better than a chevron with book paper, it perfectly suited the tones and colours in the page.

Love this cut file from Wilna Wurstenberg. It was in a set hashtags-1 I think. I cut it out of water colour paper and then used my water colour crayons to colour and blend.

How cute are these little hessian butterflies?! They came from D-lish Scraps, from the Little Birdie range. The little bits tucked under the photo were Tim Holtz stamps , and the torn washi strips came from some old Prima collection (I think!).

So, there you have it, a very "not me" page!

Thanks for stopping by.

Charm's Creations Mid Month Challenge

So, now that my page has been revealed in the FB group I can share it with you all here too!

So in case you don't remember here is the challenge:

And here is what I created:

I decided to make a cut file for my silhouette using the quote and use that as the feature of my page. The idea was inspired by a page by Wilna Furstenberg, she always inspires me!

So if you want to join in on the challenge make sure you head over to the FB group - here, and we will be giving you a link so you can download this cut file to use yourself. Also in the link is a png (digital stamp) version and a 4x6 journal card for printing.

Happy Scrapping!

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time.

Scrap the Boys mid month reveal

Good morning!

Scrap the Boys had their mid-month reveal yesterday so now I can reveal my sample too. Remember this month is a sketch:

And this is what I did with the sketch:

Don't you just love the goofy faces your kids give you sometimes?! Well, actually this is more the usual from Liam. I used some older My Mind's Eye papers and die cuts, which is where the title block came from, and how appropriate is that title block!

I played around with a new Donna Downey stencil too, just in white to blend in with the background.

Love using the cool enamel labels from Pink Fresh Studio too. I picked them up from D-lish Scraps.

Our sponsors over at STB this month are:

Kellie Stamps are wonderful Aussie stamps that I love to use and she is donating a stamp pack. Worth an entry just for the chance to win that!

Pilot is donating a pair of Westcott scissors, and we all need a great pair of scissors!

You still have plenty of time to enter so make sure you have a go!

White With 1 March

Wow, March, hard to believe really. But another month is definitely upon us, which means reveals for new challenges.

White With 1 this month is a gorgeous shade of green called Hemlock.

And this is my page with the colour:

I have used lots of great D-lish Scraps goodies on this page too. There are just so many great white and black bits and bobs at D-lish!

Journal spots and labels are great for layering and adding important information too of course! Loving the short arrow paperclips from Freckled Fawn. My sequin flowers have been secured on using perfect pearls (in pearl) so they look like they have a coloured centre.

Love the sequin bows and little pegs! The bows come in all sorts of colours and so do the pegs!

Now a challenge wouldn't be anything without a thank you to our sponsors. This month we have the following sponsors, make sure you go and check them out. You can see here what the prizes are too!

Imaginarium Designs
Scrappers Garden
Stampin' Up - Susan Lake
Rainbow Splendor
